Organisation providing representation for local businesses on matters of local importance eg: Planning, Transport etc.. Organisers of the annual Late Night Shopping Party.
Raises funds to assist people and groups in the Lewes Area by means of events such as street collections, Toad in The Hole competition in May, Cake Stall in November/December and Christmas Concert with Lewes GB Brass in December.
Provide attractive, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation in friendly homes for visitors who wish to stay in Lewes or in its surrounding villages.
All the B&B's in Lewes are either close to or within half a mile of the castle and the centre of town. All are within walking distance or a short taxi ride from the railway station.
Most of their B&B's in the country villages are only a short dirve from Lewes. There are several properties offering B&B and/or self catering options in both town and country.
A market town health check is being carried out on Lewes which allows the the local community a chance to tell us what you like, love and hate about living in Lewes. The health check will lead to new project ideas for Lewes which can bring new funding streams that the town is currently not benefitting from. The will be a paper version of the questionnaire in the reception at Lewes Town Hall for people to drop in and fill out and questionnaires will also be distributed to numerous shops/venues in and around Lewes.
