CAMRA stands for The Campaign for Real Ale, a British consumer organisation founded in 1973 to campaign for the quality of traditional British Beers. It has local branches all over Britain. They are one of five branches in Sussex. Last year they celebrated their Branch's 30th Birthday.

The Lewes Archaeological Group was formed in 1968 to investigate prehistoric and historic remains in the town of Lewes and surrounding district. The group is actively engaged infield walking, surveying and excavating. It runs some projects of its own and also cooperates with other societies and organisations. LGB Brass is a friendly local brass bank with a professional sound. We have a busy concert programme. The band has a junior section for young players and for people returning to brass band music after a break. We also offer free instruments and tuition for beginners.
